Charice Pempengco Sings With Andrea Bocelli
I was really getting goosebumps when I watched Charice Pempengco's performance with Andrea Bocelli in Italy.Charice Pempengco was singing "The Prayer" duet with Andrea Bocelli at the teatro del silenzio 2008 on Sunday 20th July 2008.Andrea Bocelli told everybody how she met Charice before they started singing.Here's what he said;
Bocelli:I was in a TV program in America participated in, really, by all the greatest American artists. You might be wondering what I was doing in their midst, but surely I was there for a reason (laughter). Someone approached me in my dressing room and said, "Look, you should come and listen to an extraordinary voice, a young girl with an incredible voice. I'm usually skeptical about these comments but I went to check out and at the end of the song, there was an incredible standing ovation! I went to congratulate her. She thanked me and candidly told me, "I would like to sing with you". I asked her, "What song would you like to sing with me?" She responded, "The Prayer". Well, Mission accomplished! Ladies and Gentlemen, Charice is only 16 years old. For the rest, you yourselves make the judgment. (Music introduction. An Italian lady quips, "Oh my God, great, it's a song that I'm familiar with.)
