My friend,our children and I have just arrived in Oklahoma City right now. We left Killeen,Texas around 10 o'clock in the morning and got here at Oklahoma City around 6:30 in the evening. It was a long trip and since it is going to be Thanksgiving Day tomorrow,the traffic was really bad. We are on our way to Nebraska to attend the funeral of my friend's grandmother in law. We decided to just stay here in Oklahoma City and continue our journey tomorrow. I am really kind of tired even though I was not the one that was driving,being a passenger is also tiring huh! My son and I just got home from my friend's house. Yesterday, my friend called me,she said she have a lechon paksiw at home. I told her I will not let the time pass by with out having it. I am really worried about my dad right now. My younger sister and I have just finished chatting with each other. She told me that our dad is really sick and weak. He got his kidney infected and his blood sugar is really high. My sister wanted to admit him in the hospital but they did not have the money. After grocery shopping,I really felt too tired. When my son went to sleep around 7:30 p.m. I've already decided to go to sleep. I was confused of the time earlier. When I looked at my laptop and cellphone time it was an hour earlier than our wall clock and microwave. I did not know what the right time was. I thought to myself it is impossible that there was something wrong with the wall clock and the microwave or my cellphone and laptop at the same time. I was thinking maybe the time was changed and I was right. Every November 1 or 2,my family and I always see to it that we go to the cemetery and visit my grandparent's grave. We would bring a lot of food and drinks and of course we would stay there for a long time. Today,it is November 1 here in the States,me and my son are just staying home. I really miss the Philippines especially times like this,if you are a Filipino I am sure you would know what I am talking about. When my husband was in the Philippines during November 1,he was really surprised when we went to the Cemetery,he could not believe how we celebrate November 1,I told him we do it always in remembrance of our loved ones who already passed away.
