Nicotine's World of Fun

My Aunt Ging-Ging from Chicago called me this afternoon and asked me if my cousin from Canada have already asked me if we want to go to her mom's birthday bash in April. I did not get a call from her yet but I am hoping that she would invite me and my family too! We have never been to Canada so it would be great if we could go and visit them in April. I am searching online for a great deal with Toronto hotels, just to be prepared in case my cousin invite us to come and visit them.

My hubby, Christian and I just got home from dropping my cousins at the Airport in Austin. The house seems so depressing when we got home because it's only my husband, our son and I are here. It really feels so good to be surrounded by your loved ones, I am hoping for more visits from family and friends soon! :)

My husband and I have decided not to put up a Christmas tree this year and also not to put too many Christmas decors, it is because we are moving soon and our house is such in a big mess right now. It all changed when the Army gave us a Christmas tree and some Christmas treats. My husband, our son and I really love our real Christmas tree,we've helped each other in putting up decors and completed it in just an hour our two. I am really glad that we've decided to put up a Christmas tree, the pine tree really smells good too which is great!

My husband is finally home for a two-week vacation after being in Iraq for 8 months. He is here for his R&R which means Rest and Recuperation,Rest and Recreation or Rest and Relaxation. It was so funny because he wanted to surprise me,he already had a talk with our friend and got everything planned but then my husband lost his cellphone on the way here,I think he said he left it in Germany so his planned was ruin. Since he lost his cellphone,he had no choice but to call me for me to pick him up in the airport and I was in Austin for an appointment the morning he came, luckily my appointment for my green card was already done when he called up,so after talking to him on the phone I had to drive fast since Killeen is like an hour drive from Austin,and his flight from Dallas to Killeen was only 30-45 minutes. I was really excited when I've found out that he's coming. I told my son and he was really happy and excited too! When the airplane landed my son was really excited and happy,he kept saying Papi,Papi,Papi pointing out on the plane. As soldiers coming out from the airplane,wives like me and kids like my son was looking so excited and patiently waiting for their Dads as well. When my husband came,my son shouted PAPI!but he was too shy to come to him.My husband gave me a big kiss and a big hug while our son was hiding behind me. I really felt so sorry for him and my husband,there was this old lady who witnessed what have just happened and you can really tell from her look that she feel sorry for us especially to my husband because Nicolas did not want to come to his Papi. That's one of the most saddest part of being a military family,it is really hard when our beloved soldier leave for so long. While waiting for my hubby's luggage,I saw this lady with a baby with 3 luggage, she was having a hard time so I offered her a help. I left my hubby and son so I can help this lady and when I came back, my hubby and son has already broke down the ice between them and I was so happy to have seen them getting closer like they used to again.

My son and I have been staying with my Aunt since Christmas day. My cousin did not want us to leave. He loves playing with my son,Nicolas. Last time they saw each other was March 2007 in the Philippines. My little cousin left for the Bahamas on March 2006 while my son and I left the Philippines June 2007. Well,I am so glad and happy that we got to see him and be with him.

Every November 1 or 2,my family and I always see to it that we go to the cemetery and visit my grandparent's grave. We would bring a lot of food and drinks and of course we would stay there for a long time. Today,it is November 1 here in the States,me and my son are just staying home. I really miss the Philippines especially times like this,if you are a Filipino I am sure you would know what I am talking about. When my husband was in the Philippines during November 1,he was really surprised when we went to the Cemetery,he could not believe how we celebrate November 1,I told him we do it always in remembrance of our loved ones who already passed away.

It is already bed time for all of us because we have to get up so early tomorrow. My family and I are going to Sea World in San Antonio tomorrow. It is a 3-hour drive and I do not really feel like traveling but my husband wants to go there,he said he wants to spend this weekend with us and make it a memorable one before he leave for deployment. Yesterday my family and I attended my husband company's organizational day at the BLORA. We all really had fun especially my son. Well,I was kind of sad because I cannot stop thinking about my husband's deployment. I have met some of my husband's co-workers and their families yesterday. I took some pictures and have decided to post it right here. I would like to hear some comments,so leave me a line or two! Thank You!:-)

My family and I went to BLORA (Belton Lake Outdoor Recreational Area) today to attend my husband company's organizational day. I love going to BLORA (Belton Lake Outdoor Recreational Area) because the place is just so nice and relaxing. There are playgrounds for the kids and kiosks where you can sit down and relax. The Lake Belton is just so great to watch. My husband and his company are leaving for deployment soon that is why they had that party. My son really loved playing in there. I am happy that even my husband is busy now a day,we still have a chance to spend time together.

My husband and my friend's husband are leaving for Iraq soon.Last night we had a party for them.It was a successful party,all our friends came.We cooked some of our husband's favorite food.Kuya Wil,did the barbecue while me,Ate Loren and Anna cooked.We're really happy because the party was a success.Well,thanks to all our friends who came and helped,the party won't be a success with out you guys!:)

My family and I are so happy to be home.We got home last night from our one week vacation at my husband's place.We visited some of his friends and family.We really got so busy these past few days but it was cool.We are just so glad to be back home and sleeping in our own bed and of course I can be able to do blogging again (I've missed the blogging world so much!)Well,I still have some stuff to do so I am going to end this for now!:-)
