Packing For Our Thanksgiving Travel

My family and I are going to celebrate our Thanksgiving at my husband's cousin in Houston, Texas. We were supposed to leave today but my husband still had to work today so we have decided to leave early tomorrow morning.

Anyway, I am packing our stuff right now while my husband and son are already busy snoring. My husband is the one who is going to drive tomorrow so he really need his good sleep. I am really excited for this trip because these past few months, my family has really been so busy and I am just so happy that we get to spend the Thanksgiving day with those important people.

A Healing Prayer For My Sick Father

My younger sister e-mailed me tonight and had a very sad news. I am really worried about my father who is in the hospital right now. I am asking you all to please Pray with me and my family for my father's fast recovery, thank you!

Prayer for the Sick

O Lord Almighty, the Healer of our souls and bodies, You Who put down and raise up, Who chastise and heal also; do You now, in Your great mercy, visit my father (Carlito P. Lopez), who is sick. Stretch forth Your hand that is full of healing and health, and get him up from his bed, and cure him of his illness.

Put away from him ( the spirit of disease and of every malady, pain and fever to which he is bound; and if he has sins and transgressions, grant to him remission and forgiveness, in that You love mankind; yea, Lord my God, pity Your creation, through the compassions of Your Only-Begotten Son, together with Your All-Holy, Good and Life-creating Spirit, with Whom You are blessed, both now and ever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.

A Whole Week Inside The House

My son and I stayed inside the house for a whole week. My son was sick and by the time he felt better, I was experiencing some heartaches. Anyway, after a week of staying inside the house, my son and I finally went out today. We went to best buy, PX and HEB. It felt great to be out the house.

Thank you Lord for everything that You have done for me and my family. Please do not get tired of guiding us and helping us get through all the trials that You are giving us, Amen.

Birthday Invitations

My son will be turning seven years old on July 30 and we are going to celebrate it in the Bahamas. My son got really excited when he learned about our trip to the Bahamas for his birthday. He talks about it almost everyday and telling everyone how he cannot wait for his seventh birthday beach party.

His grandmother (my mother) promised him that she will take him to Blue Lagoon, so he can swim and take pictures with the dolphins, that really made him so happy. His Aunt Sandy and Uncle Charlie also told him that if he keeps getting good grades in school and is well-behaved, they would give him a lot of birthday presents, so he is really doing his best to keep up his high grades and to be a good boy everyday. My husband is going to meet me and my son in the Bahamas for his Rest and Recuperation. He will be with us there for two weeks but he would have to leave before our son's actual birthday so we have decided to have our son's birthday party a week early so that my husband can be part of it. I already have started planning for my son's beach party. I already talked to my mother and sister about the venue, food, balloons and cake, all I have to do now is to send out his birthday invitations. Worried About Sis

I am kind of worried about my older sister. Last night, we had a brief chat and she told me that her employer might send her back to the Philippines. I really do hope and Pray that my older sister's employer will just let her go and that she lets her stay in the Bahamas and work to whom she really like to work for. I do not know what's going on but I hope and Pray nothing for the best for her.

Early Out

Yesterday I got a notice letter from my son's school. The notice letter says that all the students will be out early today. The school will start releasing the students at 1:15 P.M. instead of 3:15 P.M. It is a good thing because my husband will get out early from work too! I do not know what we will do but one thing for sure, my family and I will spend a quality time together, time for our bonding moment. Well, I am going to get ready now to pick up my son from school. Thanks for the visit folks and have a good day to you all!

Missing Cousins

My hubby, Christian and I just got home from dropping my cousins at the Airport in Austin. The house seems so depressing when we got home because it's only my husband, our son and I are here. It really feels so good to be surrounded by your loved ones, I am hoping for more visits from family and friends soon! :)

Tita Jean's Slideshow

I made this slideshow in remembrance of my beloved Tita Jean...She passed away yesterday around 12 noon,Phils time. Everybody was really so sad and in shocked, we could not believe that she is not with us anymore. I can't stop crying when I was making this video, I shared it to my family and they told me they could not stop crying while watching it either. My Tita Jean looked so happy and alive in the pictures, I really can't believe she's gone now... May you rest in peace Tita Jean...we will never forget you...We love you so much and thanks for everything...We will all miss you!

4th Wedding Anniversary

Today is really a special day for me and my husband, it is our 4th wedding anniversary. Our marriage is not a perfect marriage but who does, right? We've had our ups and downs and I know that more trials and test are going to come our way, but I am not worried or scared because I know that we can overcome this all together with God's help. I know I should be happy on this day, well , I am but I just can't help myself to be sad because my husband is not here right now, we could not celebrate it together :( but it is cool I know that he is with me in spirit and heart,that's all the matters. Happy 4th Wedding Anniversary to us Pangga! I Love You So Much!

When my husband came home for R&R, we had to sign a new contract with T-Mobile. We both upgraded for new cellphone. We both got the Samsung, I just forgot the model type,LoL! My cellphone is color pink and it is a touch screen, I really love it because it has a 5.0 MP camera.These pictures were taken from my new cellphone. I am really loving it, the pictures are so clear. Oh yeah I got the Samsung Behold or something! :)

Busy Chatting With Hubby

I am busy chatting with my hubby right now. I am glad that he is okay and that his flight was okay. My son and I really do miss him a lot and I know that hubby misses us more. I love being his wife but I hate being a soldier's wife :( but there is nothing I cannot say or do. Well, being a military wife isn't that bad at all, I just hate the part when my soldier needs to go away for a long time but I am so proud of my man,I really am!

Papi's R&R

My husband is finally home for a two-week vacation after being in Iraq for 8 months. He is here for his R&R which means Rest and Recuperation,Rest and Recreation or Rest and Relaxation. It was so funny because he wanted to surprise me,he already had a talk with our friend and got everything planned but then my husband lost his cellphone on the way here,I think he said he left it in Germany so his planned was ruin. Since he lost his cellphone,he had no choice but to call me for me to pick him up in the airport and I was in Austin for an appointment the morning he came, luckily my appointment for my green card was already done when he called up,so after talking to him on the phone I had to drive fast since Killeen is like an hour drive from Austin,and his flight from Dallas to Killeen was only 30-45 minutes. I was really excited when I've found out that he's coming. I told my son and he was really happy and excited too! When the airplane landed my son was really excited and happy,he kept saying Papi,Papi,Papi pointing out on the plane. As soldiers coming out from the airplane,wives like me and kids like my son was looking so excited and patiently waiting for their Dads as well. When my husband came,my son shouted PAPI!but he was too shy to come to him.My husband gave me a big kiss and a big hug while our son was hiding behind me. I really felt so sorry for him and my husband,there was this old lady who witnessed what have just happened and you can really tell from her look that she feel sorry for us especially to my husband because Nicolas did not want to come to his Papi. That's one of the most saddest part of being a military family,it is really hard when our beloved soldier leave for so long. While waiting for my hubby's luggage,I saw this lady with a baby with 3 luggage, she was having a hard time so I offered her a help. I left my hubby and son so I can help this lady and when I came back, my hubby and son has already broke down the ice between them and I was so happy to have seen them getting closer like they used to again.

Our Big Kuya!

I am really proud of my cousin or whom we call Kuya in the family...Kuya is really a responsible young man...At early age he's helped a lot of people and is an inspiration to a lot of people especially to young people like his age...Our family is really proud of you Kuya,keep up the good work!

Chilling At My Aunt's

My son and I have two more nights to stay here in the Bahamas...Tonight,we are staying with my Aunt and cousin...We are going to sleep here and go back to my mom's house tomorrow...My Aunt asked for me and my son to sleep here because my cousin want us to stay here before we leave...I wanted to stay longer but then I have to pack our stuff...Well,I am going to go for now and spend time with my family...Thanks all for the visit!

Staying At My Aunt

My son and I have been staying with my Aunt since Christmas day. My cousin did not want us to leave. He loves playing with my son,Nicolas. Last time they saw each other was March 2007 in the Philippines. My little cousin left for the Bahamas on March 2006 while my son and I left the Philippines June 2007. Well,I am so glad and happy that we got to see him and be with him.

Re-united With His Other Granny

My Aunt was really happy when she saw her grandson again. They have not seen each other since we left the Philippines on July 2007. Nicolas did not recognize her anymore but he was happy to be around her. They played and spent time with each other. I just thought of sharing these beautiful pictures with y'all.

These are the pictures taken when my husband left for deployment. This day was one of the saddest days not only for me or  my family but also for those soldiers and families who were left behind. I have decided to post this slide show so you can all see it. I am really proud of my husband and all the people who are fighting for our freedom. Yesterday my family and I attended my husband company's organizational day at the BLORA. We all really had fun especially my son. Well,I was kind of sad because I cannot stop thinking about my husband's deployment. I have met some of my husband's co-workers and their families yesterday. Chatting With Ate

I am really getting so tired and my eyes are getting so heavy.I want to go to sleep but I am still chatting with my older sister.We have not chatted for I do not know how long now that is why I have chosen to stay up and chat with her.I really am missing my family in the Philippines so much.I wish we can go home and visit them soon!

I Am Home Alone

My son and my husband went to the store to get some stuff.My husband asked me if I wanted to go with them but I said no because I have some jobs to do.Right now,I am feeling a little bit lonely,our place is so quiet!wahhhhhhhhhhhhh I am not used to not hearing my son's voice or he bothering me.Am I over reacting?I do not know,all I know is that I am missing them both already!
